Results of Survey on Loan Markets

On April 9, JBA released the results of a survey on loan markets.JBA sent out the questionnaire in February 2004 to 128 banks to determine how banks perceive the present condition of loan markets and what tasks lie ahead for developing the markets.The survey results show that banks are expecting the further vitalization of markets to help build assets and make the asset composition more sound. It was revealed that in addition to clarifying relationships between the duty to maintain confidentiality and disclosure and building infrastructure, promoting understanding among borrowers and changing the management philosophy of banks were future tasks that have to be tackled.
