The Research Group on the Financial System (Head: Keimei Kaizuka, Professor Emeritus, University of Tokyo / Director, Center for Advanced Research in Finance) was established to address financial issues related to bank management from theoretical perspectives. The First Subgroup of the Research Group on the Financial System conducts research under the theme of ‘Financial Regulations and Supervision following the Global Financial Crisis.’
International debate regarding financial regulations and supervision has continued in the wake of the global financial crisis sparked by the US subprime loan problem. The Research Group on the Financial System has studied a number of proposals for financial regulations and supervision following the financial crisis and will hold a public symposium featuring a panel discussion.
The event is open to all interested parties.
