Public Relations Activities to Prevent Excessive Borrowing

JBA carries out public relations activities to prevent excessive borrowing around November of every year.

This year, JBA sent a poster illustrated with a “Card Lion” character – a new design with the same character as last year – to member banks and consumer centers to be posted in their facilities from November 2008 to March 2009.

JBA is also running magazine advertisements with the same design as the posters, posting internet advertisements with the Card Lion appearing in the banner, running advertisements on monitors installed in convenience stores and posting stickers inside trains operating in six major cities.

These activities represent a joint publicity campaign conducted by JBA, the Japan Credit Card Association, the Japan Consumer Credit Industry Association, Japan Consumer Credit Industry Association and the Japan Financial Services Association.
