Decision to Implement Campaign Activities to Prevent Financial Crimes

On May 26, JBA decided to continue implementation of Campaign Activities to Prevent Financial Crimes.

For the first round of activities this fiscal year, June was designated as the Campaign Month to Eliminate Remittance Solicitation Fraud, and JBA will conduct activities toward eliminating remittance solicitation fraud during this month. In particular, JBA will cooperate with relevant government authorities to prevent damages from the occurrence of remittance solicitation fraud, such as by holding events targeting the elderly who comprise the majority of remittance solicitation fraud victims. At the same time, the partnership will strive to disseminate knowledge about the Law Concerning Remedies to Remittance Solicitation Fraud. Member banks will strive to heighten awareness about remittance solicitation fraud by distributing informational materials on the elimination of remittance solicitation fraud at bank counters.
