JBA printed 650,000 copies of the fiscal 2005 "List of Contacts When Cash Cards or Passbooks are Stolen/Lost," and distributed them to metropolitan and prefectural police headquarters and police stations, consumer centers, member banks and other relevant institutions nationwide in September. This pamphlet provides contacts at each member bank for when an accountholder has lost a cash card or passbook.
The fiscal 2005 version has posted warnings against careless management of PINs to customers on the back cover in consideration of the significant counterfeit/stolen cash card issue. As in last year's version, the pamphlet also uses the SP code (note) for visually impaired people, as a means for achieving barrier-free compatibility.
The list of these emergency contacts is also available on the MOREBANK Website.
Note: Printed information can be converted to voice information, by using a special machine with the SP code printed on each page.
