Japanese Bankers Association

Public Relations Activities for Preventing Excessive Borrowing

JBA produced a new poster and sent it to member banks and consumer centers to be posted in their facilities from November to March 2006. Advertisements with the same design as the posters also appeared in magazines. Furthermore, an animation advertisement with the same design concept was also shown on 17 public information screens located in front of stations and other locations in major cities nationwide.

These activities represent a joint publicity campaign conducted by JBA, the Japan Credit Card Association, Federation of Finance Companies Associations of Japan, Japan Consumer Credit Industry Association and the Japan Federation of Consumer Credit Companies. The campaign is held in November, which is designated by these bodies as "the month for concerted publicity to prevent excessive borrowing."
