JBA Publishes Two New Pamphlets (only in Japanese)

There has been a marked increase in personal filings of bankruptcy while financial products and services increase in diversity. It is clear there is a greater need for education on banking and finance. Hence, JBA recently published two new pamphlets: "A Simple Guide to Bank Financial Products/Services" for general consumers and "Being Smart About Loans & Credit" for high-school students. (Both pamphlets are only in Japanese.)"A Simple Guide to Bank Financial Products/Services" pamphlet describes the basic characteristics and risks of popular financial products/services to help consumers in efficiently using banks in the age of diversified financial products/services. The presentation style is modeled on cooking recipes. The "Being Smart About Loans & Credit" pamphlet primarily targets high-school students since an increasing number of teens are borrowing from multiple sources. The pamphlet presents basic rules on loans and credit, the risks of floating interest rates and points to note in taking out housing loans along a movie storyline. Both pamphlets can be ordered via the JBA website (free).
