JBA to Conduct Survey on Trends in the Securitization Market

On January 6, 2006, JBA released its plan to conduct a survey jointly with the Japan Securities Dealers Association on trends in the securitization markets from April.

Following up on discussions in the Forum on Securitization Markets (secretariat: Financial Market Bureau of the Bank of Japan), which issued a report in April 2004, BOJ is conducting the survey as a temporary measure from May 2004 to March 2006. The survey serves as a source of vital information for ensuring smoother and more efficient transactions in the growing securitization markets of Japan. Since this survey greatly benefits market participants including banks, securities companies and investors, JBA and the Japan Securities Dealers Association decided to take over the survey from BOJ.

The survey results will be released through the website of the Japan Securities Dealers Association.
