Establishment of the Information Center for Cash Card Compensation

JBA established the Information Center for Cash Card Compensation on January 24. The Center started operations on February 10.

The Center aims to process compensation promptly and smoothly, by accepting registration of information on customers who have suffered damages from counterfeit/stolen cash cards, and providing the information to participating institutions for use.

The following is an overview of the Center.
1. Participants: Financial institutions subject to the Depositor Protection Law including banks, Shinkin banks, credit cooperatives, labor banks, agricultural cooperatives/fishery cooperatives, Shoko Chukin Bank and Japan Post

2. Registered Information: Name, extent of damage and other information regarding the concerned customers

3. Purpose of Utilization: Registered information is utilized only to help smooth the compensation process. Utilization of the information for other purposes and provision of it to third parties are prohibited.
