Barrier-free Handbook for Banks Published (only in Japanese)

JBA produced the Barrier-free Handbook for Banks, and sent it to members and relevant bodies on March 22.

The Handbook, aiming to make banks more convenient and comfortable for customers to drop by, teaches bank staff how to service disabled or elderly customers at bank counters as a means for achieving this.

Many photographs and illustrations have been provided to describe a barrier-free branch, ways to guide visually-impaired persons and handling a wheelchair.

JBA is the first trade group to publish and disseminate this kind of barrier-free handbook.
