Revisions to JBA IC Cash Card Specifications

JBA finalized the revision to JBA IC Cash Card Specifications on March 22. The revisions are basically in accordance with the interim report drafted by the Business Committee in October 2005.

The premise of the revisions' debate was that more than one method of bio-authentication exists at this technologically incipient stage, where banks have just embarked on this new method.

Specifically, it stipulates that JBA issue ID numbers for various bio-authentication methods (finger vein, palm vein, etc.) to identify each in the network and enable inter-usability among identical methods.
