JBA Conducts "Campaign for Zero Financial Crimes"

JBA decided to conduct a one-year "Campaign for Zero Financial Crimes" starting October 23, 2006 as a part of fiscal 2006 public relations activities. The campaign aims to heighten consumer awareness about various financial crimes such as the illegal withdrawal of deposits using stolen/counterfeit cash cards. This will help prevent damages from being incurred and make users feel secure in banking transactions.

The campaign features Mr. Shiro Maggy as the main character in an attempt to appeal to a broad audience. The series is being dubbed as "Shiro Maggy teaches the tricks of financial crimes." The popular magician will use his magical expertise to explain the tricks of financial crimes.

This campaign uses various media including pamphlets, video, websites and advertisements on the Internet and radio. On November 3 and 4, 7,000 copies each of pamphlets and magic goods were distributed to the public at the JBA booth set up at "Radio Park in Hibiya" sponsored by Nippon Broadcasting System, Inc.
