Survey Result on Compliance with the Anti-monopoly Law in the Banking Industry

On February 20, JBA released results from the survey on bank compliance with the Anti-Monopoly Law, whose sample had been the 187 member banks. JBA also asked members to further reinforce their compliance measures based on the survey results.

JBA has implemented various measures following issuance of the Report on Trade Practices between Banks and Other Companies, which was released by the Fair Trade Commission on June 21, 2006. The survey was conducted to find how effective these measures were for banks. It has turned out that all member banks are fully aware of the report. Details of the results are available on the JBA website (Japanese Only).
