Japanese Bankers Association

Fiscal 2007 Pamphlet on Emergency Contacts at Banks (Only in Japanese)

JBA printed 520,000 copies of the fiscal 2007 “List of Contacts when Cash Cards or Passbooks are Stolen/Lost,” and distributed them to metropolitan and prefectural police headquarters, police stations, consumer centers, member banks and other relevant institutions nationwide. This pamphlet provides contact numbers for each member bank, for use when an accountholder’s cash card or passbook has been lost or stolen.

As in last year’s version, the fiscal 2007 version has posted warnings on the back cover about careless handling of PINs to customers in consideration of the magnitude of the counterfeit/stolen cash card issue. The SP code (see note) is also printed for visually impaired people, as a means for eliminating barriers in financial information.

The list of these emergency contacts is also available on the MOREBANK website.

Note: Using the SP code printed on each page, the printed information can be converted into voice information using a special machine. Please see the website of the Japan Association for the Visually-impaired Information Support for details (http://www.javis.jp/).
