Japanese Bankers Association

Agreement to Provide Easier Year-end Credit

It was agreed upon at the Board of Directors Meeting held on November 20 that banks would earnestly respond to the credit needs of stable customers during the year-end period to smooth out the lending process and loan availability.

This agreement was made since December in particular is a period when companies feel a greater need for credit, and thus keenly feel a credit crunch. This is despite banks working to ensure smoother lending procedures by introducing various lending products and packages.
